The best places to shop in Harrisburg, NC

    Harrisburg is a great place to indulge in some retail therapy. Here are our favorite shopping spots in and around the city.

    1.Harrisburg Farmers Market

    For your fair share of fresh, local produce and other products, head to Harrisburg Farmers Market, one of the most anticipated annual affairs in town. It is usually held along Harris Depot Road, and offers shoppers a wide assortment of goods, from fresh and organic produce to handicrafts and artisanal products.

    2.Harrisburg Town Center

    A great place to unwind with friends and family, Harrisburg Town Center is home to a number of mixed-use development. This includes residential spaces like condominiums and townhomes as well as office and retail spaces. The shops at Harrisburg Town Center sell food, clothes, and other goods. Once in a while, spring and fall markets make Harrisburg Town Center even busier than usual.

    3. Concord Mills

    Just a short drive (about five to 10 minutes) from Harrisburg, Concord Mills is one of the largest shopping centers in North Carolina. An ultimate shopping haven, Concord Mills is home to over 200 shops. Some of the brands you’ll find here include Banana Republic, Adidas, Ann Taylor, Steve Madden, Ralph Lauren, Nike, H&M, Michael Kors, and Tommy Hilfger.

    4. Shoppes at University Place

    Located in Charlotte, Shoppes at University Place is about 15 minutes away from Harrisburg and offers some of the best outlet shopping in the area. Dining and outdoor entertainment are also to be had in this shopping center as once in a while Shoppes at University Place hosts concerts.

    Shoppes at University Place is also a short drive away from three of Charlotte’s top attractions: Charlotte Motor Speedway, Z-Max Dragstrip, and The Dirt Track.

    5. Birkdale Village

    Birkdale Village requires a longer drive, being approximately 30 minutes away from Harrisburg, but it won’t disappoint. People go all the way to this Main Street-style development for its casual vibe and town centers, as well as all the finds available in the racks and shelves of shops like Victoria’s Secret and Barnes & Noble. Cap off a shopping marathon with a nice meal and a couple of drinks at one of the restaurants in Birkdale Village.

    6. North Davidson Street Arts District

    We’re back in Charlotte, but this time we’re taking you to the North Davidson Street Arts District (or NODA). One of the most colorful neighborhoods of the Queen City, NODA is the perfect place to hunt for art pieces, textiles, and other vintage goods. NODA is also a great spot for entertainment, as there are a variety of galleries, performance art spaces, and restaurants in the area.

    And last but not the least, NODA is highly accessible from Harrisburg. The arts district is located about 20 minutes away.
